Day 2

ARUSHA TO SOUTHERN SERENGETI-NDUTU

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey toward Ndutu, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area along the way. From December to March, this region comes alive with the calving season, as thousands of wildebeests and zebras give birth daily. The area’s short, nutrient-rich grasses make it an ideal nursery, providing both food for the young and clear visibility for adults to spot predators, making it a relatively safe haven for the newborns. You’ll enjoy a full afternoon game drive, taking in the incredible wildlife activity until sunset. Afterwards, you’ll head to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Day 3

FULL DAY GAME DRIVE CALVING SEASON EXPERIENCE-NDUTU

After an early start, you’ll have the option to head out for a sunrise game drive, then return to the camp for a warm breakfast before continuing with a full-day exploration of the Ndutu region. Alternatively, guests may choose to depart early with both breakfast and lunch packed, allowing for an extended day in the bush and the chance to witness incredible wildlife activity at first light. This is an ideal time to observe the calving season, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras give birth on the open plains, often attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. You’ll spend the day immersed in this dramatic and beautiful ecosystem before returning to your camp after sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

DRIVE TO NGORONGORO CRATER

Your final safari day begins with an early departure around 6:30 a.m., following either a light breakfast at your lodge or with a packed breakfast to enjoy on the go. You’ll make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. Descend into the crater for a 5-hour game drive, where you’ll have excellent chances of encountering a wide array of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, black rhinos, and possibly lions. The breathtaking scenery combined with the density of animals makes this a true safari highlight, so be sure to have your camera ready! After the game drive, you’ll ascend the crater walls and begin the approximately 4-hour drive back to Arusha. Upon arrival in the evening, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or transferred directly to the airport, depending on your travel plans.
